Involvement of Junior Lionhearters in SCDF Workplan Seminar cum Exhibition 2013
As part of our Student Leadership initiative, Hong Kah Primary School collaborates with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) to establish the Junior CD Lionhearters programme. The main focus of the programme is to provide our student leaders with the skills and attitudes for emergency preparedness. They had undergone training for First Aid in February 2013. A series of other trainings will be conducted by professionals to build up their leadership competencies. The programme aids to groom the Junior CD Lionhearters into agents of change so that they are able to help themselves, their family members and their friends.
There are currently 30 P3 to P6 Junior CD Lionhearters in Hong Kah. The school is honoured to have two P5 Junior CD Lionhearters, Nurul Hanish and Hasna from P5.3 who have been invited to share their experiences with DPM Teo Chee Hean at the SCDF Workplan Seminar cum Exhibition on 19 April 2013.
